In addition to the sand sculpture contest, the festival included live music, shopping, food and drink vendors, sand sculpting lessons, an amateur competition and “quick sand,” a contest of speed and skill. The centerpiece of the festival was a large community sculpture completed by all of the artists and featuring the sponsors’ logos.
